Off my crutches at last ~ December 2017
Life doesn’t require that we be the best, only that we try our best.
Friday 1st December 2017
I enjoyed a very relaxing PJ day. In the evening we went up the hill to Tiger and Trish’s for happy hour and then on to the Bowling Club for dinner. All in all a pretty good day.
Saturday 2nd December 2017
We collected Iris and went along to the Big Bonanza Day in Emu Park. It consisted of a few stalls, lots of people selling raffle tickets, loud music, belly dancers and not a lot more. We had a wander and then headed to Jolt for drinks and lunch. Iris and I stood for a while when the raffle draw was happening but had to leave before the end because my leg was aching and Iris was fed up. I was pleased with my knitting effort in the afternoon. Happy hour was pleasant with Stretch, Trish, Kellie and Andrew.
Sunday 3rd December 2017
We enjoyed a lovely relaxing day, not having to be anywhere or do anything special. We managed to get most of the washing dry before the rain and thunder arrived. No happy hour tonight as everywhere was soaking wet.
Monday 4th December 2017
We went into Yeppoon for a doctor’s appointment. We then did some shopping ready for the celebration barbecue tonight. We are celebrating 13 years of being Grey Nomads and have invited a few people to join us. The evening went well, Pete Mate and I did a great job of cooking even though I say it myself. There was plenty for everyone. It was a very enjoyable time with lots of laughter and, of course, wine.
Tuesday 5th December 2017
It was my physio appointment today . . . or should I say, torture session. It is very clear I am being taught to walk properly again after being so long with crook joints. Today I thought the lovely Belinda was going to pull my foot off the way she manipulated it. When we left there we went to the shopping mall to pick up a couple of things and have some lunch at the new café. Once home we had naps and then I finished off Sue’s accounts. It is all done now, no more MYOB.
